How can you turn from cover singer to the vocalist of an iconic music stalwart in a year? Arnel Pineda probably wouldn’t know the answer to that question if it were December 2007. But since posting his band’s covers on YouTube - yes, the video site - Arnel had landed the job as Journey’s frontman.

Their album Revelation sold almost 200,000 copies on their first two weeks and hit #5 on the Billboard charts to be the bands best-selling album since Trial By Fire (1996). They hit LA’s Greek Theater on Tuesday capping the band’s successful world tour.

The long anticipated Journey tour made its Southern California stop at the Greek Theater Tuesday as the rockers from the bay area headlined a show with Cheap Trick and Heart. Following Heart, Journey took that stage looking and sounding fresh. Arnel Pineda, the bands new lead vocalist, made his Los Angeles debut and had the crowd believing.

Arnel Pineda was back in the Philippines on the October 8th. He shall celebrate the Holidays in the country and is expected to guest on various TV shows.
